Eddie Lederman was born and raised in the neighborhood of Park Hill in Denver and attended George Washington High School. He has, from a young age, worked with children of many different ages and backgrounds. He was in AmeriCorps in Denver as a preschool assistant after high school. During his time at St. John's College in Santa Fe, he worked as a camp counselor for Cheley camps, and as a teacher-intern for Breakthrough Santa Fe.
He earned a double major and double minor from St. John's College, where he finished his undergrad by writing a thesis on Rousseau's Emile which is a treatise on education. He has a Montessori credential to teach Lower and Upper Elementary, but his experience has been as an Upper Elementary lead teacher for the past four years. Recently, Eddie earned his Master of Education degree in Montessori Integrative Learning from Endicott College.
He is a proud owner of Rio the dog. He is an outdoor's man and a beer brewer. He enjoys Ultimate Frisbee and watching the Broncos win. He reads the New York Times everyday and pays special attention to the Science section. He is looking forward to contributing a science-loving dynamism and attitude to the Free Horizon community!
